In addition, Jonathan specializes in representing both landlords and tenants in the structuring, drafting and negotiation of retail leases and subleases in New York City and throughout the United States, particularly high end retailers, financial institutions, restaurants and fitness centers. Jonathan also regularly represents real estate developers and residential cooperatives and condominiums in the acquisition, development and leasing of commercial, retail and mixed use real estate projects.

Jonathan periodically writes articles for the Commercial Lease Law Insider and the Commercial Tenant’s Lease Law Insider, real estate industry newsletters. In July 2007, Jonathan wrote companion articles on scaffolding issues in New York City leases for the Commercial Lease Law Insider and the Commercial Tenant’s Lease Insider. In July 2005, Jonathan’s article “Get Right to Replace Guarantor If You Assign Lease” was published in the Commercial Tenant’s Lease Insider.
