Leslie Steinau is a graduate of Cornell University (B.A., 1965), Albany Law School (J.D., 1968), and New York University School of Law, from which he received a Master of Laws (in Taxation) in 1969. Leslie's practice is in the areas of corporate, intellectual property (copyright and trademark), and estate planning law. He has extensive experience for over 30 years representing privately held companies and counseling individuals and families in all types of business and personal transactions, including buying and selling companies and employment, financial, succession planning and related matters, with a special emphasis on companies and individuals in the publishing field. He represents book and magazine publishers, manufacturers, service companies, trade show producers, and other privately held enterprises, as well as authors, agents, and individual trust and estate clients.

Leslie began his career in 1969 at Parker Duryee Zunino Malone & Carter, becoming a partner in 1978. He joined Siller Wilk LLP in 2002, following the merger of the Parker Duryee firm into Reed Smith LLP.
