Jay Lang is a graduate of Yeshiva University (B.A., magna
cum laude, 1979) and Hofstra University School of Law (J.D.
with distinction, 1982) where he was an Associate Editor of
the Hoftstra Law Review.
Jay began his career in 1982 at the New York law firm of
Dreyer and Traub. After several years in his own real estate
law practice, Jay became associated with the Great Neck, L.I.
law firm of Munley, Meade, Nielsen and Re, P.C. where he concentrated
on real estate conveyancing, leasing, and commercial lending
and workouts on behalf of institutional lenders. In 1998,
Jay joined the New York law firm of Carb, Luria, Cook and
Kufeld LLP, where as a partner and counsel he continued his
diversified real estate practice.
Jay has extensive experience in all aspects of real estate
transactional practice, including land and building acquisitions,
sales, ground leases, shopping center development, brokerage
matters and complex financings and conveyancing. He has represented
institutional lenders in loan originations and workouts, and
real estate owners and investors in multi-million dollar financings.
Jay is a member of the Advisory Board of Ticor Title Insurance
Company and a member of the Real Property Section of the New
York State Bar Association.
