Bruce C. Johnson received his law degree from The University of Michigan (1977) and bachelor's and master's degrees in communications (journalism) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (1970 and 1972). Bruce specializes in wills, trusts and probate law and has practiced law in New York City for more than 27 years, having been associated with a number of firms including those now known as Chadbourne & Parke, Jenkens Gilchrist Parker Chapin, and Graubard & Miller. He was a member of the trusts and estates department at the former Hall Dickler LLP before that firm was taken over by Reed Smith LLP. Bruce's practice includes estate planning, estate and trust administration and Surrogate's Court practice. A native of Moline, Illinois, Bruce was a newspaper reporter in Davenport, Iowa, for several years before entering law school. He is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the New York State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Bruce has served on the boards of several not-for-profit organizations, including the Canterbury Choral Society in New York City and the Phi Sigma Kappa Foundation in Indianapolis, and is active in the alumni affairs of both of his universities.
