Stephen D. Hoffman is a graduate of Columbia College (A.B. 1965) and New York University School of Law (J.D. cum laude, 1968), where he was an Editor of the Law Review.

Steve began his career as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Jacob Mishler, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York and then was an associate with the law firm of Davis Polk & Wardwell. He was a founding partner of the law firm of Warshavsky, Hoffman & Cohen and was a partner and head of the litigation department at Rosen & Reade, LLP immediately prior to joining Siller Wilk LLP.

Steve is the senior member of the firm's litigation department. He has more than thirty years experience as a litigator in complex cases in the federal and state courts, and has represented clients in cases and trials involving areas such as letters of credit, collection of delinquent loans, copyright and trademark infringement, employment discrimination, the rights of privacy and publicity, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, restrictive covenants, sovereign, consular and diplomatic immunity, the antitrust, securities and environmental laws, and contested estate matters.

From 1998-2000, Steve served as the 50th President of the New York County Lawyers' Association, one of the largest county bar associations in the United States. He currently serves as Vice President of the New York State Bar Association and as a member of the Advisory Group of the State and Federal Judicial Council. He is a fellow of both the American Bar Foundation and the New York State Bar Foundation. In previous years, Steve served as chair of the New York County Lawyers' Association Committee on the Federal Courts and as Co-Chair of one of the largest trial practice courses for attorneys in New York City.
