Stephen Albert is a graduate of Queens College (B.A., summa cum laude, 1973) and Cornell Law School (J.D. 1976). Stephen has represented well-established companies and start-up ventures, both public and private, in the full range of corporate and securities matters, with a special emphasis in mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings and compliance, and financing transactions. Examples of the types of transactions he has handled include acquisitions for a NASDAQ National Market company with more than $2 billion in sales, the initial public offering of a nationally known weight loss company, and the negotiation of the senior credit facility of a major fashion house. Stephen also served for over ten years as a member of the Board of Directors of a NASDAQ National Market company.
Stephen began his career at the New York law firm of Emmet Marvin and Martin, and later was a partner at the New York law firm of Feit & Ahrens. Stephen then became a Special Counsel at the New York law firm of Proskauer Rose LLP. Most recently, Stephen was a founding partner of the New York law firm of Sierchio & Albert, P.C.
